Job description
Overview

If you open your fridge freezer, up to 20% of the products you'll see have passed through a Lineage facility. We support customers who keep our schools and restaurants stocked and supplied as well as working with many of the UK's leading retailers.

We are currently seeking two Order Checkers at our Bellshill facility.

Shift

Monday – Saturday (4x days 08:00‑16:30, and 2x days are half day with Sunday off).

Rate of Pay

£12.30 per hour.

The Role
  • Accurately check incoming loads and batches to confirm the correct quantities and product types.
  • Prepare and apply clear product labels, ensuring all items are correctly identified.
  • Weigh or count products for internal distribution, maintaining high standards of accuracy to meet company and customer requirements.
  • Report any damages promptly and support inventory control procedures.
  • Safely and efficiently process all inbound and outbound orders.
  • Load and unload vehicles using power pallet trucks (PPTs).
Working Environment

This role is based in a coldstore at approximately −25 °C. Full freezer‑grade PPE is provided to ensure you stay warm and protected throughout your shift.

Who We’re Looking For
  • A detail‑focused individual who takes pride in getting things right the first time.
  • Physically capable, comfortable lifting items up to 18 kg (around the weight of 10 bags of sugar).
  • A clear communicator, able to work safely and effectively with team members in English.
  • Ideally experienced in loading and unloading vehicles within a warehouse environment, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Safety‑minded, always following procedures and looking out for both your own and your colleagues’ wellbeing.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, supporting a smooth and efficient operation.
