Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Company is seeking an Oral Care Consultant in Leeds to detail, sell and merchandize our products to dental professionals across the UK. This field-based role involves visiting dentists and hygienists, building relationships, and driving endorsements for our professional and consumer brands.

You will work with the Senior Dental Area Manager to develop your capabilities, maintain records, and deliver on daily KPIs through in-person and remote activities across Scotland/UK regions.

Qualifications

• Field-based commercial sales or account management experience.
• Consultative, solution-oriented selling and relationship management.
• Ability to translate complex medical or scientific concepts into clear messaging.

Responsibilities

• Visit dentists, hygienists & therapists within dental practices, area health authorities, hospitals and dental hospitals located within your territory.
• Sell specialist Professional products and drive endorsements for consumer brands.
• Educate dental professionals and their teams on oral care areas and product benefits.
• Develop skills with coaching and an individual development plan with your Area Manager.
• Maintain and collate customer records in the C4C system with visit summaries and feedback.
• Create quarterly business and weekly visit plans for territory reach.
• Provide technical/product information through trade exhibitions and group or 1-to-1 meetings.
• Provide feedback to Marketing and Sales teams and achieve daily KPIs (in-person and remote regions).

Background & Job Purpose

The Oral Care Consultants are field based specialists who work in close partnership with the UK dental professionals. This role involves detailing, selling and merchandising Colgate products to either existing or new customers in the dental sector.

A diverse team of Oral Care Consultants operate across clearly defined territories UK wide. Oral Care Consultants are field-based and are crucial in maintaining and building brand awareness and sales for our professional products range.

Main Responsibilities

• Visit dentists, hygienists & therapists within dental practices, area health authorities, hospitals and dental hospitals located within your territory
• The aim of these visits is to establish contact, build rapport, sell specialist Professional products, drive recommendation & endorsement for our consumer brands
• You will educate the dental professional and their teams in specific oral care areas, as well as the benefits of our Colgate products
• Work closely with your Area Manager to develop your skills and capability through coaching and an individual development plan
• Responsible for maintaining and collating customer records within our C4C system, summarising where they have been, who you have seen, salient points of the conversation, competitor activity and feedback about our Colgate products.
• Complete quarterly business plan and weekly visits plans
• Provide technical/scientific and product information through arranging, administering and presenting at trade exhibitions, educational group meetings to dentists and on a one-to-one basis
• Provide on-going feedback to Professional Marketing and Sales team
• Deliver upon daily KPI's, which involve contacting dental professionals and their teams face to face and by video call / phone for remote regions of Scotland.

Essential skills and qualities required:

• Experience in field-based commercial sales or account management
• Demonstrated expertise in consultative, solution-oriented selling and relationship management
• Ability to translate complex medical, technical, or scientific concepts into clear, impactful customer messaging.

Travel Requirements

• Expected percentage of travel: Up to 100%
