Oracle EBS Financials Functional Consultant sought in London for a 12-month contract with hybrid working (office 3 days, 2 days home).

Role focuses on implementing and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite modules (GL, AP, Fixed Assets, EBTax) for a major financial institution. Day rate of £750 via Umbrella Company; standard office hours with occasional out-of-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with full life cycle implementations of Oracle Financials (GL/AP/Assets).
• Gather, analyse and document business requirements and translate into system specs.
• Strong communication with business and IT teams.
• Basic SQL knowledge for troubleshooting.

My client is one of the largest financial institutions headquartered in Japan, with an established presence across all consumer and corporate banking businesses. Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, they offer a diverse range of financial services, including commercial banking, leasing, securities, credit card, consumer finance and other services.

They are looking for an Oracle EBS Financials Functional Consultant to join the team on a 12 months contract, working Monday to Friday, standard office hours with the occasional out of hours requirement in line with business needs, The position is being offered on a hybrid working basis being office based 3 days a week, 2 days working from home.

The Role

This position serves as the key functional support, for Oracle E-Business Suite. Responsible for Implementing, improving, monitoring, and maintaining the bank's Oracle financial application systems (i.e. Oracle General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, including E-Business Tax modules) to ensure operational efficiency and data integrity as well as provide functional support to end users. This job requires knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite-R12.

• Oracle E-Business Financial Module(s) day to day support, rollouts, enhancements for EMEA with primary focus on General Ledger, Accounts Payables and Fixed Assets
• Develop test scripts and test scenarios for user acceptance testing and system validation.
• Includes production support, hands on design and configuration duties
• Provide training to business users
• Participate in Oracle EBS projects implementations, rollouts and enhancements

Experience and Knowledge

The successful candidate should be comfortable dealing with both business and technical teams and have strong communication skills.

• Demonstrable experience of full life cycle implementation experiences for Oracle Financials, mainly General Ledger/Payables/Assets
• Ability to gather, analyse, document, manage business requirements, and convert them into useable system specifications.
• Ability to communicate business concepts to technical teams and translate technical issues to the business community.
• Ability to work with various levels of business users, other IT staff and the vendor to resolve business and systems issues in a timely manner.
• System implementation and production support experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of SQL skill for troubleshooting and interface projects.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required
• A willingness to learn new systems and keep up to date with banking solutions and regulations
• Knowledge of Accounting Principles is a plus.
• Oracle EBTax experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
