Role Summary

You will join our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centre as an Entry‑Level Oracle Enterprise Applications Database Administrator, managing and maintaining Oracle databases and applications such as E‑Business Suite, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards and Weblogic. You will gain hands‑on experience in capacity planning, backup and recovery, security enforcement, patch management and performance troubleshooting across application and database layers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing Oracle databases and applications including EBS, Peoplesoft and Weblogic.
  • Support backup and recovery activities using RMAN.
  • Help apply security patches and updates.
  • Participate in migrations and cloning exercises.
  • Assist in monitoring system performance and availability.
Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Required Technical Expertise
  • Installation and upgrade experience of EBS (R12.2) and Database (11g & 19c) on AIX.
  • Expert knowledge of EBS 12.2 online patching and cloning techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of RMAN and Oracle DataGuard.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn infrastructure best practices.
  • Ability to follow structured operational procedures.
  • Update and produce system documentation relating to any changes applied.
Preferred Technical Experience
  • Exposure to AIX operating system environments.
  • Familiarity with WebLogic and SOA concepts.
  • Experience with basic performance troubleshooting.
  • Awareness of load balancing and clustering principles.
