Job summary

A recruitment company is urgently seeking an Oracle Cloud HCM and Payroll specialist for a new project in the UK. The ideal candidate will lead the implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM modules. Applicants should have over 5 years of functional experience in HCM with a strong understanding of UK HR processes. This is a contract role lasting between 9 to 12 months, starting October. NOTE: INSIDE IR35

Job Title: Oracle Fusion HCM Functional Consultants

Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid/Remote options as required)

Contract Duration: 9–12 months (starting 1 October [Year])

Engagement: Contract / Freelance / Outside IR35 (as applicable)

Responsibilities
  • Lead functional design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM modules, including:
    • CoreHR
    • Payroll
    • Performance Management
    • Learning and Development
    • Career Development
    • Talent Management
  • Conduct requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design workshops.
  • Configure Oracle Fusion HCM applications to meet client-specific needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for integrations, data migration, and reporting (OTBI/BIP).
  • Develop and execute test plans (unit, system, UAT) and support end-user training.
  • Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
  • Prepare project documentation, configuration workbooks, and functional design specifications.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM Functional experience.
  • Proven expertise in at least three of the following modules: Core HR, Payroll, Performance, Learning & Development, Career Development, Talent Management.
  • Strong understanding of UK HR processes, payroll regulations, and statutory compliance.
  • Full lifecycle implementation experience: requirements, design, build, testing, and deployment.
  • Ability to write functional design documents and collaborate with developers on RICEW components.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
  • Oracle Cloud HCM certification(s).
  • Experience with OTBI, BI Publisher, and fast formulas.
  • Prior experience with UK-based or EMEA multi-country implementations.
