Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care in Thatcham is seeking a GOC-registered Optometrist to join the clinical team. You will deliver expert eye care, conduct full eye examinations, and provide a wide range of vision solutions to meet patient needs.

You will work full-time, 5 days per week, with a rotating schedule that includes Week 1: Monday–Friday and Week 2: Tuesday–Saturday, contributing to a high‑quality patient experience.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of our clinical team, you'll provide expert eye care services tailored to every patient's unique needs and lifestyle.

Deliver Exceptional Clinical Care

You'll be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive eye examinations and sight tests.

• Providing routine and emergency eye care services.

• Supporting patients with specialist services including:

  • Paediatric eye care

  • Dry eye management

  • Myopia management

  • Glaucoma monitoring

  • Retinal condition monitoring

  • Diagnostic imaging and scan interpretation

• Prescribing and fitting a wide range of optical solutions including spectacles, sunglasses, contact lenses and low vision aids.

• Making personalised recommendations that improve patients' vision, comfort and overall wellbeing.
