Job summary

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care is seeking qualified Optometrists to deliver outstanding clinical care in our community branches. You will conduct eye examinations, provide advice on spectacles and contact lenses, and support patient education while building strong customer relationships.

We value hands-on clinical practice, ongoing CPD, and working as part of a friendly, supportive team. Flexible full-time or part-time roles are available with comprehensive professional development and staff

Qualifications

  • Qualified and GOC-registered Optometrist.
  • Confident in clinical skills and patient assessment.
  • Willing to participate in CPD and team training.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 25‑minute eye examinations with thorough patient care.
  • Diagnose and manage eye health conditions.
  • Advise on spectacle and contact lens options.
  • Build relationships with customers and branch teams.
  • Collaborate on local enhanced service schemes and supervision where applicable.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical products through CPD.

About the role

We are seeking qualified and GOC-registered Optometrists who share our commitment to putting the customer at the centre of everything we do. At Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care, you will provide excellent clinical care while building strong relationships with both customers and branch teams. Whether you are newly qualified or experienced, you will play a vital role in driving your branch forward and ensuring exceptional service within your community.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations with thorough patient care during 25-minute test slots.
  • Use your clinical judgement to diagnose and manage a range of eye health conditions
  • Provide expert advice on spectacle and contact lens options tailored to individual needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a positive experience at every visit
  • Collaborate closely with your branch team to contribute to business growth and excellent service delivery
  • Participate in local enhanced service schemes and contribute to pre-registration supervision when applicable
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical products and industry developments through ongoing CPD training
