Job summary

Sensory Audiology & Optical Recruitment is partnering with a client on the Isle of Skye to recruit a qualified optometrist in Portree. You will perform eye tests, deliver a range of clinical services, and tailor care to each patient while maintaining professional standards.

Joining a supportive Professional Services team, you’ll have access to CPD content and relocation support to help you settle in and thrive in a strong community-focused practice.

My client is currently looking for an optometrist to join their team in Portree, on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive sight tests and eye exams

• Provide a range of clinical services including emergency eye care, paediatric care, and myopia management

• Tailor recommendations to address each patient's needs and preferences

• Maintain high standards of professionalism, including adherence to GOC standards

• Collaborate with the team to achieve shared goals and monitor performance

• Ensure all clinical equipment is maintained and in good working order

Working Environment

• Part of a wider network of 42 practices and ~350 staff

Candidate Requirements

• GOC registered
• BSc optometry
• Willingness to travel between clinic locations

Compensation

• Competitive base salary (circa £45 - 65k FTE, dependent on experience)
