Specsavers Gosport is seeking a friendly and conscientious Optometrist to join our community-focused store and help deliver an excellent patient experience.

With 4 test rooms, OCT technology and a team of 14, you’ll have the support to focus on clinical care while developing professionally and serving the local community. We offer generous leave, private medical and dental cover, a pension, CPD support, and ongoing development opportunities.

The store

We’re fully equipped with 4 test rooms, the latest clinical technology (including OCT), and a team of 14 – which includes fully trained optical assistants, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best.

The location

With its 24 miles of waterfront, safe panoramic beaches, impressive naval heritage and scenic countryside walks, Gosport is a great place to live and work. Gosport can be access from the M27 at Junction 11. Regular mainline train services run to Portsmouth Harbour and bus serves run from Fareham every 10 minutes and from Stubbington, every 17 minutes.

Our Optometrists are an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) all available to explore. Along with your clinical expertise – this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.
