Job summary

Walsh & Bridle Opticians in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, is seeking a full-time Optometrist to deliver high-quality eye care in a warm coastal practice.

You will conduct 30–50 minute eye tests with OCT and Fundus camera, manage paediatric patients, and collaborate with a team of five. Relocation support is available and partnership potential exists for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experienced Optometrist with full registration and GOC licensing.
• Advanced skills in contact lenses (RGPs and Ortho-K).
• Strong clinical background with a focus on paediatric eyecare.
• Solid commercial understanding balanced with excellent patient rapport.
• Willingness to work 3 out of 4 Saturdays a month.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive 30–50 minute eye tests and contact lens assessments with standard equipment including OCT, Fundus camera, and digital testing screens.
• Utilise expertise in contact lenses, including RGPs and Ortho-K.
• Manage a high volume of paediatric patients, bringing a genuine passion for children's eyecare.
• Apply strong commercial awareness while ensuring patient care remains the top priority.
• Collaborate with a team of 5 in a relaxed, welcoming 2-consulting-room practice.
• Occasionally cover our practice in nearby East Wittering as required.

About the Role
