Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is looking for a dedicated Optometrist in Eastleigh to perform eye examinations and provide clinical support. You will collaborate with the Dispensing Optician Manager and assist in the supervision of students.

Job Overview

Responsibilities

Perform eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
Carry out extended service examinations under NHS contracts.
Collaborate with the Dispensing Optician Manager to support training, coaching and maintain departmental standards.
Assist in the supervision of students (optional).
Provide clinical support and expert advice to customers and staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
Registered performer with NHS area team or health board: MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining, funded and supported by Asda).
On track to meet statutory CPD points requirement.
Evidence of Right to Work in the UK.
Evidence of NHS performer list for the chosen nation and two clinical references.
For Wales: evidence of WECS accreditation and WGOS module accreditation.
