Specsavers Dumfries is looking for an Optometrist to join its established and highly supportive team. Whether you're newly qualified or an experienced Optometrist looking for your next challenge, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills within a store that genuinely prioritises patient care, professional development and work-life balance.

This role offers the kind of clinical exposure that can be difficult to find elsewhere. With an older patient demographic, you'll see a significant amount of pathology and more complex cases, making it ideal for an Optometrist who enjoys variety and wants to utilise their clinical decision-making skills every day. The store has developed strong relationships with local hospitals and healthcare professionals, creating excellent referral pathways and supporting collaborative patient care across the region.

For Independent Prescribers, this is a fantastic environment to fully utilise your qualifications. For those who aren't yet accredited, you'll be joining a store that actively supports further development, with one of the current Optometrists already undertaking their Independent Prescribing qualification.

Located in the heart of Dumfries, the store has been serving the local community for over 30 years and has built a loyal patient base along the way. Following a recent refurbishment, you'll enjoy working in a bright, modern environment with six fully equipped test rooms and access to the latest clinical technology. Clinics are well structured, the store is exceptionally well managed, and you'll be supported by an experienced team including Optometrists, a CLO, Dispensing Opticians and knowledgeable Optical Assistants.
