Job summary

Zest Optical is recruiting a full-time Optometrist for our Consett practice. You will conduct 25–30 minute eye examinations in a busy independent setting, with OCT, fundus photography, and phoropter equipment. The role offers clinical freedom and a strong patient-care focus.

Applicants must be GOC registered and able to work in the UK. The practice operates six days a week with a supportive team and a reputation for high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

£55,000 to £60,000 DOE + Benefits

Optometrist - The Role

• Full-time position
• 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
• 9:00am to 4:00pm on Saturdays
• Some flexibility with Saturday working
• 25-30 minute eye examinations
• Clinical freedom to provide the highest standard of patient care
• Well-equipped testing rooms with OCT, fundus camera and phoropter
• Pre-screening completed by the experienced support team
• Contact lens clinics
• Opportunity to provide enhanced services
• Work closely with the Dispensing Optician and support team to ensure a seamless patient journey
