Job summary

Scrivens Opticians is seeking a qualified Optometrist to join our Bridport/Weymouth team and provide excellent clinical care.

You will conduct thorough eye examinations, advise on spectacles and contact lenses, and build relationships with customers and staff while supporting branch growth in a friendly, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• GOC-registered optometrist with current practicing certificate
• Patient-centered approach and strong communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations with 30-minute test slots
• Use clinical judgement to diagnose and manage a range of eye health conditions
• Provide expert advice on spectacle and contact lens options
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and staff
• Collaborate with the branch team to drive service quality and growth
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical products and CPD requirements
• Participate in local enhanced service schemes and pre-registration supervision when applicable

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical products and industry developments through ongoing CPD training
