About the Role

At Asda, there is nothing more important than the health and wellbeing of our customers. Our priority is to always put them first by delivering high-quality patient care. Due to our extended service contracts with the NHS, we're committed to delivering a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of minor eye conditions. A typical day involves screening patients, coaching and training the wider team, and helping to maintain standards in the department.

We are passionate about providing our Optometrists with comprehensive training to fulfill their roles and enhance their skills. We offer a fantastic CPD programme, protected time for further accreditations funded by Asda, and full support in all aspects of your role, whether clinical or service-based. Our aim is to develop and support you to reach your full potential.

About You

We look for candidates who can use their clinical skills and passion to create a memorable customer experience. Working with an Optical Manager, you'll help create an environment of clinical and operational excellence, support coaching and training, and develop new patient services to meet customer needs.

You should be a fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC, registered with your NHS area team or health board, MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months), and able to meet CPD points requirements. Your passion for developing new services and shaping the department culture is essential.
