Job summary

Optical Express in Belfast is seeking an optometrist to provide care to patients in-clinic and via Telemedicine. You will work within a multidisciplinary team alongside ophthalmologists and support a broad range of eye-care services, including pre- and post-operative consultations and essential eye examinations.

You will join a leading private provider committed to patient care, clinical outcomes and ongoing professional development, with relocation options considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Qualified optometrist registered with GOC.
• Experience in pre/post-operative care desirable.
• Comfort with telemedicine and in-clinic care.

Responsibilities

• Pre- and post-operative consultations for refractive and cataract surgery patients.
• Provide clinical support to ophthalmologists.
• Deliver YAG capsulotomy service.
• Carry out Telemedicine appointments.
• Provide essential and advanced eye examinations.

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an optometrist to provide care to patients from our clinic in Belfast. You will be providing care in clinic as well as carrying out Telemedicine appointments.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside experienced eye care professionals, including ophthalmologists, and play a crucial role in the delivery of a diverse range of clinical eye care services to our patients.

At Optical Express, no two days are the same. Your role will be varied and can include:

• Pre- and post-operative consultations for our refractive and cataract surgery patients.
• Providing clinical support to our ophthalmologists.
• Being part of our multi-disciplinary YAG capsulotomy service, delivering these procedures.
• Carrying out Telemedicine appointments.
• Providing Essential and Advanced Eye Examinations for our patients.
