Job summary

Specsavers is looking for an Optometrist in Alton, Hampshire. Successful candidates will conduct eye exams, diagnose vision issues, and contribute to store management. This full-time role offers a salary up to £65,000 per annum along with a £10,000 Golden Hello and excellent benefits including private medical cover and 33 days annual leave.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified optometrist registered with the GOC, possessing strong customer service skills and a passion for vision care.

Job description

Position: Optometrist

Location: Alton, Hampshire

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience + £10,000 Golden Hello

Working hours: Full time – 4 days per week with one weekend day, 8:00am – 6:00pm

Experience level: This role is open to both newly qualified and experienced optometrists registered with the GOC

About the Role

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting eye examinations, diagnosing and treating vision problems, fitting and dispensing spectacles, and contributing to store management tasks such as planning, inventory and customer care. You will be part of a team of 18 and will have access to 4 test rooms with 25‑minute testing and the latest clinical technology including OCT.
