Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a Relief Care Worker in Scotland to provide high-quality, person-centred care on flexible relief shifts. You will support residents with personal care, meals and activities, and offer companionship.

You will meet PVG and SSSC requirements and may work toward SVQ Level 3 if needed. This role offers meaningful work with flexibility and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience is welcome but not essential.

Job description

As a Relief Care Worker, you'll step in to provide high-quality care and support when it's needed most. Your flexibility will help ensure residents continue to receive the compassionate, person-centred care they deserve, while giving you the freedom to work around other commitments. Every shift is an opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's day.

About you

You will be compassionate, patient and flexible, with a genuine desire to help others. You'll be comfortable working in different situations and as part of a wider team. Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential. We're equally interested in people who share our values and want to make a positive difference in the lives of older people. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.
