Job summary

King's College London invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to glaucoma research at the Section of Ophthalmology, Guy's Campus. The appointee will conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments, analyze data and participate in dissemination through publications and meetings.

The role includes teaching/supervision of staff and managing the laboratory, including ordering tissues and equipment, receipt and transfer of materials.

Qualifications

• PhD-qualified in relevant subject area (Biological Science or similar).
• Experience in cell culture and molecular biology.
• Experience with animal in vivo studies.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and dissemination abilities.
• Excellent time and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Perform in vitro lab assays and in vivo animal studies and analyze data.
• Attend regular progress meetings and contribute to publications.
• Teach/supervise other researchers.
• Manage the lab: ordering, tissue samples and equipment, receipt and transfer of materials.
