A healthcare provider is seeking a Band 3 Ophthalmic Technician to join the Spencer Ward team at a hospital. Responsibilities include assisting registered staff in patient care delivery, running technician-led clinics, and ensuring high-quality standards. This is a part-time permanent position offering a salary ranging from £24,937 to £26,598 per year based in Kettering.
We are looking for a Band 3 Ophthalmic Technician to join the Spencer Ward team at Kettering General Hospital.
The duties of the Ophthalmic Technician will be to assist and support registered staff in the delivery of high quality, individualised, dignified and compassionate care to patients. The post holder, after the necessary training and induction, will be an integral member of the ophthalmic technical service, ensuring the effective and efficient maintenance of a comprehensive patient pathway. They should have the ability to work independently as well as working closely with other members of the team. The post holder will be a key member of staff in participating in the development of care of patients attending the ophthalmic department. They are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of service users and always working in a manner that promotes the dignity and human rights of patients and clients.
