An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner within the Nurse Practitioner Team. Ophthalmology services are based at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport which provides a hub with care also being delivered to both adult and paediatric patients at multiple hospital sites across the health board, health centres and ODTC's (Ophthalmic Diagnostic and Treatment Centres) based in partner sites including high street opticians. As a speciality Ophthalmology sits under the umbrella of Division of Surgery and we are lucky to have a large dedicated ophthalmic nursing team comprising of specialist nurse practitioners, registered nurses HCSW's and assistants who work alongside a comprehensive MDT.
