Operator Technician

Pencoed | £12.84-£17.46 per hour | Shift work | Temporary to Permanent

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting experienced Operator Technicians to join a client's site in Pencoed. This role is vital to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment, requiring technical ability and strong awareness of safety procedures.

Key Duties
  • Work as part of the operations team to carry out routine manufacturing and quality control of immunodiagnostic products.
  • Operate production equipment or carry out manual operations in strict accordance with procedures.
  • Perform standard production duties, including set-up, set-down, running production lines, and completing Electronic Batch Records (EBRs).
  • Clean equipment in line with GMP, GLP, or other written procedures.
  • Carry out raw material testing, analysing and documenting data.
  • Formulate solutions for use in reagent dispensing, BioVue dispensing, and well coating.
  • Conduct routine testing and quality control checks, interpret results, and recommend appropriate actions.
Requirements
  • Strong production line or laboratory experience.
  • Laboratory experience preferred but not essential.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant academic or vocational qualifications desirable.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Reliable, conscientious, and self‑motivated.
  • Structured approach with a strong work ethic.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and overtime.
