In this role you will be accountable for safe operation of the Dry End of the tissue machine, working in collaboration with the other machine operators. Responsible for maintaining product quality at all times through adherence to documented quality standards including performing scheduled testing as required.

About you

As an operator, you can demonstrate your previous experience, you work best under pressure and you deliver high value to your team by owning issues through resolution, being flexible (in both mindset and practice) and working collaboratively with them toward team goals. You will also have the following.

• Role will include the first line of response for process and technical issues.
• Responsible to elevate safety, quality, technical or process issues to Shift Leadership.
• Working with and engaged in all of KC’s Safety, Quality & Delivery systems and processes.
• Collates information on all major events through the shift to provide a carefully documented handover.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 5 GCSE’s A-C passes including English & Maths desirable but not essential.
• HNC in Tissue or Board Making desirable but not essential.
• Experience of operating a Tissue/Paper converting machine and/or working in an FMCG environment.
• Basic maintenance skills are desirable, but not essential.
• FLT License is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
• Crane/hoist experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
