  • Driving – You will need a driving licence (category B) to drive Network Rail vehicles.
  • Commute – You must be within a 60‑minute commute of the location that you’re applying for.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment – Check the van and equipment each shift, ensuring everything is ready for the team.
  • Support the team – Provide lookout duties and assist in maintaining equipment and works delivery.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Teamworking – Work closely with the maintenance team to deliver safe and efficient work.
  • Communication – Have good verbal and written communication skills to work safely and effectively.
  • Proactive planning – Be punctual, have the van and equipment ready, and anticipate the team’s needs.
  • Working under pressure – Remain calm under pressure while working outdoors with trains passing close by.
