Portakabin Ltd is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Bordon site to oversee day-to-day site and yard activities and support operatives in safe, efficient operations. You will plan workloads, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and drive cost-effective practices while maintaining delivery commitments.

The role emphasizes strong people leadership, clear communication, and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a supervisor role.
• Solid experience of working in a site or yard environment, with an understanding of safe and efficient operational practices.
• Ability to plan and allocate work, clearly communicating tasks and expectations to operatives.
• Skilled in identifying day-to-day operational challenges and applying practical problem-solving.
• Confident in seeking guidance and escalating issues appropriately for approval or resolution.
• Good communication skills, able to build effective working relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate day-to-day work to operatives ensuring safe practices, efficient operations and cost-effective use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, environmental and quality standards, including adherence to refurbishment times and guides.
• Promote health, safety and environmental standards, engaging operatives in safe working practices and company initiatives.
• Supervise operatives on site and in the yard, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of performance.
• Escalate operational challenges or resource issues to the relevant stakeholders, providing clear information to aid resolution.
• Seek approval for changes to standard operating procedures and ensure instructions are followed consistently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback and supporting the adoption of best practice.
