Job description

Description

About the role

You'll need to have an 18th Edition electrical qualification, as well as a HVK license.

Responsible for the efficient running of our Electrical Function within our Skegness resort, you’ll ensure that the highest standard of service is met consistently, ensuring that we delight our guests and receive positive feedback.

Leading a team to deliver excellent service and ensure team engagement, you will support day-to-day activities of the electrical team, including routine maintenance, servicing, and repairing domestic, commercial, and electrical equipment. You will manage project works with both team members and subcontractors. You will plan and operate the rota system, including on-call systems, and be available for call outs if required. You should have good knowledge in fault finding and installation works.

This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, so flexibility is important. Occasional late work and at least 1 weekend day per week will be required.

As part of the Resorts Management team, you will manage internal teams and external service providers to ensure full compliance with all H&S policies.

You will oversee all team activities within the department, including recruitment, performance, and team development. You should promote team fulfillment through regular 121s and PDP discussions to support their development and career growth.

As with all roles at Butlin’s, no day will be the same. You should enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and prioritizing guest experience.

About You

We are looking for an experienced electrical leader who can support the team to deliver excellent service, with a focus on guest satisfaction. You will have experience in training and coaching in a fun-filled environment to deliver an exceptional experience.

You should have previous leadership experience, the ability to prioritize demanding workloads, work independently, and a good understanding of PC/Microsoft Suite. Confidence in directing and responding in any situation while maintaining brand standards is essential.

Strong leadership skills are necessary to motivate and engage your team, especially during high demand, and to manage multiple priorities effectively. You should be confident in inspiring your team to deliver outstanding results daily.

General Duties & Key Accountabilities

  • Managing the team during shifts on key tasks and objectives.
  • Driving add-on sales and supporting the team to do the same.
  • Ensuring stock and propositions are available for guests.
  • Monitoring the delivery of a quality guest experience aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Capturing and responding to guest feedback.
  • Providing accurate rotas 3 weeks in advance via SAM and ensuring system accuracy.
  • Monitoring NPS and acting on guest feedback where possible.
  • Coaching and developing the team to meet departmental goals.
  • Promoting Butlin’s Values and Leadership Behaviours.
  • Ensuring a focus on RPRRT in team rotas.
  • Building strong relationships across the resort, other resorts, and central support teams.
  • Supporting people tasks within the department, including onboarding, PDPs, performance management, and training.
