Overview

Gallagher Specialty are currently seeking an Operations Specialist to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing MALT division ensuring excellence in service delivery and compliance with our high standards.

As an Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team and driving operational success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Team Processing: Managing all team processing using internal systems (GXB).
  • Financial Reporting: Liaising with finance colleagues to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Client Onboarding: Acting as the point person for client onboarding and TOBA support.
  • Project Leadership: Supporting team and operations colleagues on projects, leading them to success by utilising internal and external resources.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to the Group Professional Standards Manual, statutory requirements, and Gallagher’s shared values, with a focus on managing client information, whistleblowing, treating customers fairly, and financial crime.
  • Centre of Excellence: Supporting the team to be a centre of excellence in respect of local and Group policies and procedures.
  • Presentations: Assisting in designing, preparing, and delivering presentations, both written and oral.
  • Training: Completing and passing all mandatory training requirements.
  • Additional Duties: Undertaking other reasonable duties as directed by senior and line management.
How you'll make an impact

You will also assist operations colleagues in:

  • Anticipating changes in the business environment and developing proactive plans.
  • Budgeting, planning, and monitoring related results.
  • Delivering operational goals aligned with divisional and corporate standards.
  • Implementing systems and controls to ensure compliance.
  • Supporting people management processes and challenges.
  • Acting as the conduit between the team and central support areas.
  • Monitoring performance MI against agreed service levels.
  • Administering key processes and ensuring timely, accurate issuance of high-quality service in line with SLAs, company policy, and external regulations.
  • Providing escalation support for client service challenges.
