Operations Planner – Portsmouth

Salary: £33,000 – £37,000 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week (including weekend rota)

We are seeking an Operations Planner to join a busy operations team in Portsmouth. This is a hands‑on role with excellent opportunities for career development within a fast‑paced environment.

What you’ll do:

• Plan and coordinate vessel and terminal operations efficiently.
• Manage and organise the operational workforce to meet daily requirements.
• Ensure smooth operations while meeting deadlines and targets.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels.
• Monitor operational performance with awareness of financial and commercial factors.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Some experience in shipping, logistics, or operations planning.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• High attention to detail and conscientious approach.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Competent in IT, including Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Terminal Operating Systems is a plus.

Typical shifts: 07:00‑16:00 or 08:00‑17:00
