Role Description:

Due to the continued growth and strategic expansion of our Global Payments Solutions business, we are seeking an accomplished leader to drive operational transformation, building high-performing teams, leveraging data-led insights, and influencing strategic outcomes across multi-layered global organisations.

This role is responsible for leading large-scale strategic projects and highly-detailed transformational programmes across Operations and Lines of Business. You will provide leadership and direction across multiple workstreams, driving the assessment, redesign and optimisation of operating models, processes, products and services to deliver sustainable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the evaluation of operational performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing business cases supported by robust data, risk assessments and cost-benefit analysis. You require end-to-end accountability for programme delivery, including strategic planning, execution, governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement and benefits realisation.

You will partner closely with senior executives and business leaders to define strategic priorities, influence decision-making, and ensure successful execution of critical initiatives. Extensive leadership, organisational influence and change management capabilities are essential, along with experience leading high-performing teams, driving operational transformation and delivering results in multi-faceted, matrixed environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-faceted, enterprise-wide transformation programmes, providing strategic direction, governance and execution oversight to deliver sustainable operational and business outcomes. Shape and drive programme strategy through data-driven analysis, operating model assessment, and rigorous cost, risk and benefit evaluation to support executive decision-making. Provide visible leadership across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment of priorities, effective resource deployment, and successful delivery against strategic objectives. Influence and partner with senior executives, business leaders and key stakeholders to define priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver critical organisational change. Establish robust governance frameworks, executive reporting routines and performance measures to monitor programme health, monitor risk and drive accountability. Lead cross-functional teams and external partners in the development and execution of key programme deliverables, ensuring quality, consistency and timely delivery. Drive issue resolution, remove organisational roadblocks and mitigate risks to maintain programme momentum and achieve strategic outcomes. Build high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and disciplined execution across complex, matrixed environments.

What we are looking for:

  • Ample business operations leadership experience and experience driving operational excellence and organisational transformation. Considerable workforce management and analytics expertise, leveraging data to optimise performance, capacity and business outcomes. Deep experience in process design, performance management and continuous improvement. Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of the organisation. Experience operating within a robust risk and control environment, including governance, policies and procedures. Strategic thinker with ample execution capabilities and the ability to translate complex challenges into tangible business results.

Skills that will help:

  • Professional certification in Operational Excellence methodologies (for example, Lean, Six Sigma), with experience applying continuous improvement principles to drive efficiency, quality and productivity gains.
  • Recognised project or programme management qualification (for example, Prince2, PMP, Agile), with experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and business transformation programmes.
