Job description

Due to continuing success, this company, a provider of various asbestos and environmental services to a mixed portfolio of clients is currently looking to appoint a commercially focused Operations Manager in the London Area. Undertaking management of staff, providing technical Support and Complying with all relevant H&S requirements. Consideration will be given to applications from Ipswich, Norwich, Cambridge and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience
  • The individual must come from a strong technical and educational background preferably holding a science degree/HNC or similar.
  • Previous extensive experience of working within a laboratory is essential.
  • Excellent communication, people/project management and organisational skills required.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Package.
  • A good working knowledge of the asbestos/environmental Industry.
  • We are interested in anyone with p401/p402/p403/p404/p404 or s301 CCP.
Role
  • Management of staff and the various environmental departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality control and quality systems.
  • Provide technical support and advice as required.
  • Build and maintain a strong, professional working relationship with large portfolio of clients.
  • Comply with all relevant Health and Safety and ISO14001 requirements.
  • Produce regular performance reports for management and attend meetings to discuss findings.
  • Getting involved with Quality Control, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Training of staff and carrying out appraisals.
  • Visiting sites to ensure health and safety procedures are being followed correctly.
  • Undertake auditing and inspection of work carried out.
