Job summary

Correct Contract Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Operations/Administration Manager to provide support to engineers and administration staff, manage costing of works, schedules of rates, and liaison with clients. You will report to senior management and Directors, overseeing staff performance, training, and health and safety across the team.

About the Role
Job Purpose

Provides support and technical assistance to all engineers and administration staff working in the department, carries out costing of works and management of works, processing of Certification, schedule of rates, and liaison with all clients under this department. Reporting to senior management and Directors regularly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Controlling and planning/forecasting all regular annual planned replacement and reactive replacement programs.
  • To deliver a high-quality service to the client and their customers, through strict management and enforcement of company processes.
  • Manages staff and systems, analysing operating practices, implementing changes to workload and materials delivery schedules to site.
  • Manages all aspects of employee relations.
  • Develop administrative staff by providing information, educational opportunities and experiential growth opportunities, including development of trade staff by the same opportunities.
  • Resolves technical problems by coordinating preparation of reports and communication with staff, analysing data, and identifying solutions, and then costing for variations.
  • Ensure quality of all operational staff by auditing regularly on site to prove competence and compliance of onsite engineers with the company procedures.
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests to clients, quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintains supplies of materials and organization of logistics by close liaison with procurement, stores and staff on site.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative staff, expediting work results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains weekly financial reporting on progress and completions, assisting in preparation of valuations alongside commercial team.
  • Responsible for all staff in the department, disciplinary procedure, toolbox talks and sales review meetings with any sales staff, also review of P&L for department each month.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Liaison with accounts staff with regard to cost cutting and efficient operation of his/her department.
  • Management of all surveying and post inspection of works.
  • Responsible for the delivery of health and safety across the team.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Project Management, budget control, spend control and authorization, ordering, training, technical auditing experience, C&G, NVQ in relevant trades, Word and Excel experience, surveying and cost analysis experience.
  • Experience of working on construction refurbishment programs particularly within social housing sector, planning & managing large site projects, including experience of budgeting and Health and Safety Management, with knowledge of CDM.
