Overview

Operations Manager - Fire Protection (Sprinklers)

Location: London/South

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 Basic + Benefits

Contract: Full-time, permanent

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading the delivery of multiple sprinkler installation projects across the UK (predominantly South).
  • Managing and mentoring project managers, supervisors, and site teams.
  • Reviewing designs, schedules, and contracts to ensure compliance with BS EN 12845 and LPCB standards.
  • Keeping the directors up to speed without using PowerPoint.
  • Ensuring the business runs smoothly from tender to handover - and that everyone involved still speaks to each other at the end.
  • Having the occasional laugh, even when things inevitably go sideways.
The Must Have's
  • Proven experience managing fire sprinkler or mechanical installation projects.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills - someone who inspires rather than shouts.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle flaming (fire-safe) torches.
  • A good grasp of design, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • A calm head under pressure and a good sense of humour (mandatory).
  • Full UK driving licence and a willingness to visit sites, offices, and the occasional café.
