Job Description

We are currently recruiting an Operations Manager (Events) to join our Head Office team in Bolton.

This is a key role where you will take responsibility for leading our Events branch within ExcluSec. You'll need to be able to work independently bringing your own experience and ideas into the business while working closely with the Managing Director to develop the team and help shape the future of the Events division. There is real opportunity for progression as the company continues to grow.

Hours

40 hours per week. Days, nights, evenings, weekends and bank holidays (flexibility required). You are able to work operational shifts as overtime providing KPIs are met.

Reporting To

Managing Director

The Role

To oversee and lead the Events division including Event Team Leaders and frontline event staff.

To design and implement development programmes including a Team Leader courses to build and strengthen the team.

To oversee recruitment within the Events division ensuring staff are selected, inducted and trained to company standards.

To review and approve event timesheets in a timely manner to ensure accurate invoicing.

To deal with pay queries from staff and invoice queries from clients.

To work with the Duty Supervisor (a shared resource) to oversee event rotas ensuring all shifts are covered effectively.

To manage on-call responsibilities for event sites responding to issues and ensuring service continuity.

To complete and update event documentation (assignment instructions, event plans, risk assessments) as required.

To liaise with clients in a professional manner attending pre-event planning meetings and post-event debriefs.

To conduct welfare visits and on-site checks during events addressing any operational issues promptly.

To assist with HR-related responsibilities such as probationary reviews, investigations, disciplinaries and performance management.

To identify opportunities to improve services support business growth and promote the Events division.

To complete accurate handover reports, event reviews and other administrative duties as required.

Work operational on the ground to ensure we maintain a team bond.

Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Job Requirements

Hold a current valid SIA licence (Door Supervisor) is essential.

Level 3 or higher in Spectator Safety is essential.

Experience in a similar role is essential.

An SIA CCTV licence is preferred.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

A willingness to work days, nights, evenings and weekends is required.

A flexible and professional approach to work is essential.

Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

Excellent command of English both written and verbal is essential.

Confidence and ability to deal with difficult situations (including those involving conflict) is essential.

Taking pride in your appearance as well as representing the ExcluSec brand at all times is essential.

Eligible to work in the UK is essential.

Have a 5 year verifiable work history is essential.

IT literate is essential.
