A leading construction firm in the United Kingdom is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee project managers and ensure effective pre-construction activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience within the industrial sector and excellent client-facing skills. The role may involve either a permanent or long-term contract engagement, with flexibility regarding remote work. This position is pivotal in managing projects valued up to £30M, focusing on both new builds and refurbishments.
Operations Manager
Reporting into an Operations Director. Responsible for overseeing and supporting Senior Project Managers running individual projects. Attending progress meetings, involved in pre-construction from producing tender programmes, looking at documentation to ensure that all elements are captured, value engineering schemes and looking at risk mitigation.
The business is a main contractor who undertake new build and refurbishment of industrial / factories up to the value of £30M, predominately Design & Build.
Must have experience working at this level, having previous experience in pre construction, programming and supporting multiple sites as well as strong experience within industrial sector with main contractors.
Strong client facing skills, good written and verbal communication.
The business work nationally and at present the senior management team work remotely, meeting up when required or on one of the projects.
The client would be open to either a permanent or long term contract engagement
