Job summary

SCINERGY Recruitment is recruiting for an Operations Manager to oversee an exciting new green energy power generation technology in Cornwall. This leadership role focuses on safe, reliable and efficient plant operations and requires a proactive manager who can learn new equipment and establish a solid operational structure.

You will manage day-to-day operations, develop procedures, monitor performance and lead a team to deliver high standards of safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational power generation or similar process-driven environment.
• Experience as Operations Manager or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and equipment.
• Understanding of safe systems of work in an industrial setting.
• Engineering qualification beneficial but not essential.
• Flexibility to work with new technology.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the safe, compliant and efficient day-to-day operation of the facility.
• Leading and developing the site's operational team.
• Helping establish operational procedures, standards and working practices.
• Developing a detailed understanding of the plant's technology, processes and equipment.
• Monitoring plant performance, availability and operational efficiency.
• Coordinating operational and maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
• Promoting a strong health, safety and environmental culture across the facility.
• Supporting the continued development and successful operation of the technology.

Operations Manager - Green Energy Power Generation

£60,000 - £75,000

SCINERGY Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to oversee an exciting new green energy power generation technology in Cornwall.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader to play a key role in establishing safe, reliable and efficient plant operations. The successful candidate will need the attitude and aptitude to understand new technology, become familiar with unfamiliar equipment and help develop an effective operational structure.

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the safe, compliant and efficient day-to-day operation of the facility
• Leading and developing the site's operational team
• Helping establish operational procedures, standards and working practices
• Developing a detailed understanding of the plant's technology, processes and equipment
• Monitoring plant performance, availability and operational efficiency
• Coordinating operational and maintenance activities to minimise downtime
• Promoting a strong health, safety and environmental culture across the facility
• Supporting the continued development and successful operation of the technology

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Management or leadership experience gained within an operational power generation, green energy, oil and gas, or similar process-driven environment
• Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Shift Team Leader, Maintenance Manager, Asset Manager or in a comparable leadership position
• Strong operational leadership and people-management capabilities
• The attitude and aptitude required to learn new technology, processes and equipment
• A good understanding of safe systems of work within an operational industrial environment
• A maintenance or engineering qualification would be beneficial but is not essential
• The flexibility and adaptability required to work with new and developing technology
