Job description

Kelly Group are looking for a Operations Manager who will oversee the delivery and growth of new renewable energy service operations, developing strong, long-term client relationships to ensure sustained profitability working on our GGRS contract. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational management to drive high-quality outcomes across solar PV, electrical, battery storage, and EV charging projects.

The successful candidate will ensure all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards, from design through to commissioning. As the business evolves, the role will adapt to integrate emerging technologies and innovative methodologies, supporting continued growth and excellence in renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations across solar PV, electrical, battery storage, and EV charging projects.
  • Oversee project delivery from design through commissioning, ensuring compliance, safety, and quality standards are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor financial performance, meeting or exceeding income and profitability goals.
  • Support business growth by identifying opportunities to expand services and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and innovation within the renewable energy service offering.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing operations in the renewable energy, electrical, or construction sectors.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, energy storage, and EV charging infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and performance targets.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality assurance processes.
