Description

We’re looking for a Team Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team within Platform Operations. You’ll oversee all aspects of the team’s activities, ensuring accurate and efficient processing while delivering exceptional service and positive client outcomes. This role combines operational oversight with leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You’ll need strong management skills, deep knowledge of platform processes, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.

What you'll do
  • Lead and Develop the Team: Manage, mentor, and inspire Operations and Senior Operations Associates. Promote accountability, excellence, and motivation.
  • Oversee Operations: Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant end-to-end processes.
  • Optimise and Implement Best Practices: Refine operational procedures and controls to maximise efficiency and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with other Operations managers and teams for seamless service delivery.
  • Issue Resolution: Monitor and resolve operational issues quickly, preventing recurrence.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Champion automation and workflow enhancements to increase scalability and reduce manual tasks.
  • Reporting and Insights: Produce accurate MI on team performance and operational challenges for senior leadership.
  • Goal Setting and Performance Management: Set SMART goals and conduct regular progress reviews.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead service calls with adviser firms, third-party users, and suppliers, ensuring excellent external relationships.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
  • Proven experience in leading and managing operational teams, including setting objectives, coaching, and performance management.

  • Strong track record of delivering results through others in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Investment Management Certification or studying towards it.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with high accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

You'll be based at our Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex.
