Job Title: Operations Manager - Container Fleet

Location: London

Who are we recruiting for?

We are supporting a leading global ship owner and commercial operator with a modern and diverse fleet. They are expanding their London operations team and seeking a motivated, assured, and commercially aware maritime professional to oversee daily performance and voyage execution for their container vessels.

What will you be doing?
  • Acting as the primary contact for Masters, supporting day-to-day operational decisions
  • Coordinating voyage planning, port schedules, bunkers, cargo operations and stowage
  • Monitoring voyage efficiency, vessel performance, and cost control
  • Working closely with chartering to optimise commercial outcomes
  • Ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and supporting incident response
Are you the ideal candidate?
  • Former Chief Officer or Master Mariner on container ships
  • Minimum 1+ years shore-based operations experience
  • Strong understanding of owner vs. charterer & difference in commercial responsibilities
