Overview

Would you like to work with one of the most successful wholesale manufacturers in the UK? We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to oversee all operational activities at a production facility in Chester. This senior role is key to ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost‑effective production of high‑quality dairy products, including milk, butter, and AMF.

The Role

The successful Operations Manager will:

• Lead, mentor, and develop multi‑disciplinary teams across dairy & AMF processing, packing, and logistics.
• Oversee daily production and packing, optimising resource allocation, minimising waste, and improving process efficiency.
• Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure full adherence to HSE regulations, ensuring compliance with HACCP, BRC.
• Manage operational budgets, support strategic planning.
• Offer clear progression to become the next site director.

The Candidate

The successful Operations Manager will have:

• Proven experience as an Operations Manager within food manufacturing – dairy experience essential.
• In‑depth knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety regulations.
• Track record of leading and developing large operational teams and experience driving continuous improvement.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
