About the Opportunity

Working with a pioneering aviation/defence tech organisation, this role puts you in the heart of operations. You will support unmanned aerial systems (UAV/drones) in deployment, ensuring systems are mission-ready, diagnosing faults, and maintaining propulsion / mechanical / electrical systems in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate in the field: maintain, troubleshoot, repair UAV / drone systems under operational conditions
  • Manage spares, logistics, and line-replaceable units (LRUs)
  • Provide propulsion / engine level-1 maintenance and support
  • Liaise with build team for system upgrades and improvements
  • Stock, audit, and maintain deployment equipment and support kits
  • Keep meticulous documentation of maintenance, repairs, and logistics
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge (hands‑on)
  • Experience (or strong aptitude) with UAV / drone / propulsion systems is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in dynamic, high-pressure and remote field conditions
  • Willingness to deploy / travel globally (6 weeks on, 2 weeks off model)
  • UK Right to Work (must not require visa sponsorship)
  • Reliable transport / ability to reach sites when needed
