Job summary

Relay is seeking a Site Manager/Head of Site to lead high-volume sortation operations on-site. You will direct 50-100+ operatives, ensure safety, throughput, and quality, and drive continuous improvement across the operation.

You will own shift planning, people deployment, and end-of-shift handovers, coordinating with senior leadership to keep performance on track. This role requires hands-on leadership on the floor and a bias for delivering reliable results.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large frontline operations on-site.
• Proven ability to deploy people, throughput and quality standards.
• Strong emphasis on safety, compliance and operational discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver shift plan end to end including people deployment and health & safety.
• Lead and performance-manage a frontline team of 50-100+ operatives.
• Build controls, cadences and SOPs; own adoption and benefits.
• Plan ahead for future shifts including labour and training.
• Own end-of-shift handover and communicate risks to next shift.
• Stay decisive during peaks, outages, and labour gaps; triage issues.
• Write briefs and post-incident reviews clearly for decisions.
• Implement changes into live operation and onboard new clients.
