SSE is seeking an Operations Engineer for the SSEN Transmission network in Scotland. The role focuses on HVDC/FACTS asset delivery, maintenance and commissioning, with responsibilities across project design reviews, factory and site testing, and SOP development.
You will manage contractor interfaces, witness critical tests, ensure regulatory compliance, and support incident response and defect remediation, contributing to a safe and reliable energy network.
Base Location: Flexible Scotland | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots in Aberdeen or Inverness
Salary: £57,150 - £68,295 + car allowance + eligible for overtime + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

SSEN Transmission are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Engineer, to join our dynamic Network Operations team on a permanent basis. In this vital role, you will play a key part in the delivery of the Operations, Maintenance and Commissioning of all HVDC & FACTS currently in service, and those that are currently in project execution phase. The successful candidate shall also support the execution of HVDC and FACTS Service Level Agreements for the Network Operations team.
