Overview

Operations Director - FOSTERING

Basic salary: £75,000 - £80,000 per annum dependent on experience

Benefits: Company Car or £2,000 Car Allowance, 30 days' Annual Leave, rising to 35 day's with length of service, + Bank Holidays, Life Assurance, Company Pension, Employee Discount Scheme & Medical Cash Plan

Base Location: Homebased with travel to regional offices.

Covering Location: Nationwide

Overall Purpose / Aim

The Operations Director is responsible for the performance of FCA regions/countries under their remit, along with any delegated company projects according to the overall strategy as set by the Polaris Board. They are expected to act and register as the Registered Manager or Responsible Individual for any regions/countries as requested and develop, promote and manage a range of Services across the company/companies and to link closely with Central functions. They should set exemplary standards of behaviour and performance, promoting the vision and values of Polaris, and work collaboratively with respect and integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Managing Director to develop and implement the strategy as agreed by the Polaris Board.
  • Turn the strategy into tangible actions that can be implemented across the company.
  • Work with the Managing Director and Finance Business Partners to develop strategic operating targets and budgets for their responsible regions/countries/services.
  • Develop strong links and positive working relationships with Heads of Service and work collaboratively with Central Services on projects that drive improvements across the Company
  • Deliver against and ensure achievement of company targets and budgets.
  • Develop and implement project plans to deliver area specific and companywide improvements.
  • Report regional/country performance to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership team on a monthly basis.
  • Provide leadership to Registered Managers, helping them to set and maintain direction in line with their regions/country targets, supporting them to achieve their growth plans
  • Maintain regular face to face contact with Registered Managers and have a visible presence within regions/countries
  • Deputise for the Managing Director as required.
