JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Operations Director to oversee strategic, financial, and operational performance across all business areas.

As an Operations Director you will take full accountability for P&L, planning, cost control, and productivity improvement, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

The Operations Director will champion Lean methodologies, drive efficiency gains, and foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and innovation across manufacturing and logistics operations.

DUTIES
  • Lead Strategic Operations: Oversee all operational activities with accountability for P&L and delivery against targets
  • Manage Planning and Production: Ensure efficient manufacturing, storage, and resource allocation to meet customer and business objectives
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean tools and techniques to streamline processes and enhance productivity
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all sites
  • Develop Strategic Vision: Support long-term business growth through operational transformation and change management initiatives
  • People Leadership: Develop, coach, and empower teams to achieve departmental performance goals and succession planning
  • Performance Management: Set and monitor KPIs to track effectiveness and ensure operational targets are achievedProcurement and Cost Control: Oversee supply chain, quality assurance, and procurement efficiency
  • Support Best Practice: Lead improvement initiatives that embed excellence and consistency across the organisation

  • Proven experience of operational leadership in a manufacturing environment

  • A background in production programming, scheduling, and capital project management
