Job summary

We are seeking an Experienced Pest Control Technician to join The Bristol Pest Controller team, covering Bristol and Bath. You will perform surveys, risk assessments and planning, while delivering effective pest control solutions and maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements include BPCA/RSPH Level 2 (or in progress) and a valid UK driving licence. The role involves field work on rodents, bed bugs, insects, seasonal wasp/bee duties and bird-proofing projects, with a competitive

Responsibilities

• Attend jobs across Bristol/Bath to carry out environmental surveys, risk assessments, pest investigation and treatment planning.
• Run rodent treatment programmes, bed bug heat treatments, and insect control for fleas, moths, flies, silverfish, etc.
• Seasonal work with wasps, ants and bees during summer.
• Bird prevention work including netting, wire systems and spikes; training provided for birdproofing on solar installations.
• Complete digital evaluation reports after each visit and manage your own bookings and customer communications.
• Be the face of The Bristol Pest Controller for clients, with autonomy on your patch.

What you’ll be doing

• Attending jobs across Bristol/Bath (with some further travel) to carry out environmental surveys, risk assessments, pest investigation and treatment planning
• Running rodent treatment programmes, heat treatment for bed bugs, and insect control for fleas, moths, flies, silverfish and more
• Seasonal wasp, ant and bee work over the summer months
• Bird prevention work — netting, wire systems and spikes, including birdproofing on solar panel installations (full height-safety training and equipment provided)
• Completing digital evaluation reports after each visit and managing your own booking schedule and customer communication
• You’ll be the face of The Bristol Pest Controller for many of our clients, so this is a role for someone who’s as comfortable managing their own patch and talking to customers as they are diagnosing a difficult infestation.

What we’re looking for

• RSPH/BPCA Level 2 (or equivalent) held or in progress — if you’re not yet qualified but have relevant field experience, we’ll fund the training, but we’re prioritising candidates who already hold the qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Confidence working at height (full training provided for our birdproofing/solar work)
• Strong customer-facing communication, both face-to-face and in writing
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
• Available to work one Saturday in every four
