A social care organization is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead a team and oversee care services for adults in Bridgwater and surrounding areas. This home-based position requires strong management skills and experience in the social care sector. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality support and mentoring for Registered Managers across multiple locations. A competitive salary and generous benefits package are offered.

Discovery supports adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in Somerset and Cornwall with complementary services in other neighbouring counties. At Discovery we believe in person centred support, with a big focus on delivering care tailored to the individual, and to reflect this ethos.
We have a rare but amazing opportunity to replace a colleague who is reluctantly retiring, who has had a long and illustrious career supporting people with a learning disability and autism.
We are therefore looking to recruit an experienced, ambitious Operations Director to join us and lead, mentor and develop a group of Registered Managers to achieve our vision of better lives for more people.
Although the role is home-based you will be expected to visit the homes you are responsible for 2 days a week.
This position will be responsible for overseeing the Bridgewater and surrounding areas of Somerset, covering 14 locations and have 8 direct reports.
Interviews will be held on the on the 11th December 2025, face to face in Bridgewater.

As an Operations Director with Discovery you will be a key leader in our organisation.
