Job summary

Auger in Wallasey seeks an Engineer Operations Team member to support our nationwide engineers and act as the liaison between on-site teams and policyholders. You will coordinate with suppliers, assist diary coordination, and help resolve on-site challenges while developing technical knowledge on drainage and water mains.

You will report to the Head of Field Operations, cover customer-facing duties, and contribute to a proactive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High level of attention to detail required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Team-oriented mindset with experience in customer-facing roles.
• Experience dealing with customers over the phone is a plus.
• Curiosity and creativity to solve problems on site.

Responsibilities

• Support nationwide engineering teams and liaise between field personnel and policyholders.
• Report to Head of Field Operations and cover customer-facing duties of the Engineer Operations Team.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure smooth on-site operations and cost control.
• Assist Diary Coordination and Field Support to improve efficiency and respond to on-site challenges.
• Develop technical knowledge on Drainage, Subsidence, Off Mains & Water Mains calls for on-site decisions.
• Provide coverage for line managers and support the External Operations Support Team.

The role

The successful candidate will:

• Report directly to our Head of Field Operations.
• Fulfil the customer-facing responsibilities of the Engineer Operations Team.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure the smooth running and cost control of our on-site operations.
• Assist our Diary Coordination and Field Support teams to improve efficiency & act as a point of contact for engineers, taking updates and helping to resolve on-site challenges.
• Develop technical knowledge to be able to provide support with Drainage, Subsidence, Off Mains & Water Mains calls, enhancing collaboration and decision making on site.
• Develop people management skills to be able to provide coverage for line managers in the External Operations Support Team.
• Cover the 10-6 shift
