Job summary

A Surrey based Interior Design agency is looking for an Operations & Compliance Manager to oversee studio operations. This role focuses on facilities management, legal administration, logistics coordination, and supplier relationship management. The ideal candidate will have strong operational experience in a creative environment and exceptional negotiation skills. This is an office-based position with no hybrid working offered, and it requires a proactive and enthusiastic individual to manage a small team effectively.

Overview

We are working with a Surrey based Interior Design agency to help them find an Operations & Compliance Manager to help run their busy studio. This is an office based role that offers no hybrid working.

This is a broad role with a core focus of ensuring that the agency functions in a smooth way.

Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management – maintain the upkeep of the studio and showroom, including co-ordinating repairs, and managing lease renewals including negotiating with the landlord.
  • Legal and Company administration – co-ordinating contract renewals with lawyers, negotiating insurance renewals and ensuring compliance with GDPR and other ISO accreditation.
  • Logistics Co-ordination – liaising with their offices in the Middle East and ensuring efficient and cost effective delivery of freight and packages including negotiating competitive delivery costs and timely delivery.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management – negotiating deals, and managing the relationship with all suppliers and vendors to ensure the best possible deal for the agency.
  • Team Management – day to day management and support of a small admin team.
  • Essentially, you will be the go to person with regard to anything that is happening within the agency from an operational perspective.
