Operations Assistant – Part Time
We are seeking a part‑time Operations Assistant to support service delivery, business compliance, and the music service operations and management teams in achieving business and commercial objectives set by the Head of Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for managing stock and resources (instruments and equipment).
- Delivering stock to schools using the company vehicle.
- Using software to monitor and update staff timetables, pupil registers, assets and payments.
- Providing email and phone liaison with families, schools and teachers.
- Supporting the annual cycle of concerts, events and CPD.
- Undertaking pre‑defined and ad‑hoc requests as required by the Music Service managers.
- Forecasting volumes and planning resources to meet demand.
- Contributing to agreed service Key Performance Indicators.
- Carrying out any other duties as related to the activities above.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Accurate following of processes and procedures and ability to deliver against an agreed plan.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Flexibility to cope with varying demands and tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel county‑wide to support concerts and events.
- Ability to operate individually and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to support service needs including occasional out‑of‑hours work (evening and weekends).
- Honest, reliable and motivated approach to work.
- Willingness to respond positively to change and improvement.
- Full driving licence – Essential.
Working Conditions
Location: Stafford, United Kingdom.
Part‑time (22.5 hours per week), ideally Monday & Wednesday. Hybrid role with attendance at the office and other sites required.
