Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking consultants of all levels to join their Operations & Safety group within Intelligent Infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-value advisory services to public and private sector clients across the UK.

Successful candidates will support various technical areas and will need a technical background, ideally in one of the specified fields. Benefits include a hybrid working policy, continuous development opportunities, and wellness support.

Overview

We are seeking consultants of all levels to provide support to the Operations & Safety group within Intelligent Infrastructure, contributing to high value advisory services for public and private sector clients across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the O&S group's six technical areas: operational safety, transport network operations, human centred design, strategy development, policy monitoring & evaluation, tunnel systems & operations.
• Conduct analysis and interpretation of information from various sources and communicate findings effectively to clients.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, or contractors in transport, public sector or high‑risk environments to deliver sustainable and safe operating solutions.
• Assist in the design, operation and management of tunnels in the highway and utility sectors.

Qualifications

• Technical background with relevant qualifications (degree or similar higher education) in any of the six technical areas.
• Experience working on high‑quality consultancy‑style projects aligned with one of the six technical areas.
• Proven ability to analyse and interpret information from multiple sources and communicate findings effectively.
• Experience in a client, consultant or contractor role, ideally within transport, public sector or high‑risk environments.
